Power in the Pronoun

 If I were a parent in New Brunswick, Saskatchewan or Ontario who believes that children, including those who identify as LGBTQ, have human rights, I would send a letter to my child’s school and school board.  

It would say that my child has the right to be called by whatever pronoun or name they choose without the need to inform me. 

 I would send that letter whether or not my child has any interest in changing pronouns or in LGBTQ matters.  As a parent of a child in these provinces, I would have a unique opportunity to take a stand and let social conservatives know that this thin-edge-of-the-wedge assault on LGBTQ rights will not wash.
